Lightbulb Head

Here comes lightbulb head
The Water Board are looking for leaks
The market trader are selling their onions
Here comes lightbulb head
Solar energy panels recharging the future
Taking his pet robot out for a walk whilst wearing his hover shoes
So he don’t wear the soles out
Running for an electronic bus with flat feet
Lightbulb lightbulb lightbulb head
Lightbulb lightbulb lightbulb head
Lightbulb lightbulb lightbulb head
Switch him on mama he’s got a Lightbulb on his head
Acting the dunce and trying to be brainy
Collecting the raindrops when it’s raining
His brain always aches from the things he’s been thinking
But most of them don’t make sense
He’ll make a mint after 8
When his ideas sell
But you know we’re always exchanging
William for Willam Tell
Lightbulb lightbulb lightbulb head
Lightbulb lightbulb lightbulb head
Lightbulb lightbulb lightbulb head
Switch him on mama he’s got a Lightbulb on his head
Switch him on mama he’s got a Lightbulb on his head
Switch him on mama he’s got a Lightbulb on his head
Switch him on mama he’s got a Lightbulb on his head
Switch him on mama he’s got a Lightbulb on his head

Death Scare
Sitting in an English Garden
Sitting here just waiting, watching time go by
Time go by
Someone calls they break the spell
You nearly left your empty shell
Your empty shell
Your empty shell
Ah Ah Death Scare
Ah ah Death Scare
Death Scare
Death Scare
And when I die there’ll be no I
Just the ticking of the ticking clock
The ticking clock
I face the black I face the grave
I face the one the one that said he would be saved
Would be saved
Ah Ah Death Scare
Ah ah Death Scare
Death Scare
Death Scare
So I walk around pickup photos and putting in bags
Sitting in an English Garden
Sitting here just waiting, watching time go by
Time go by
Someone calls they break the spell
You nearly lost your empty shell
Your empty shell
Your empty shell
Ah Ah Death Scare
Ah ah Death Scare
Death Scare
Death Scare

England in the Rain

England in the Rain
Sometimes dazzled by the world again
Rain falls softly on old England again
Paths cross rather like two incidents
Jigsaw puzzling away alone again
Children playing in the rain again
England, England in the rain
Sunday yawns sleepy day of forget me nots
England , England in the rain, again
Strangers passing in the street again
Thoughts lost in trampled pools of Indigo
Umbrellas arched up to the sky again
Sometimes life is rather magical
Sometimes things feel far too tragical
England, England in the rain
Sunday yawns sleepy forget me nots
England , England in the rain, again

Skimming Stones
I’ve spoken to you
I spoke yesterday
But I didn’t have too much to say
Just skimming stones
Wasting my time
Wishing that you would one day be mine
There was something in my head
All those things that are unsaid
Meet me down by the beach cafe
We could watch the tide roll in
I’ve spoken to you but it’s hard to say
Why some people look so grey
Just skimming stones wasting my time
Wishing that she would one day be mine
There was something in my head
All those things that are unsaid
Meet me down by the beach cafe
We could watch the tide roll in
skimming stones
skimming stones
skimming stones
skimming stones

Suddenly September
Ah ah
We kinda knew
This thing would end
‘Cos in July you were my friend
We found a haven
By the sea
A special place
For you and me
The sea shells found
From sandy ground
The nights we shared along the beach
Suddenly quite suddenly
Its September
Suddenly quite suddenly
It’s September
Ah ah
You said you’d write
which of course you did
But August left
and then you never did
Photographs I have of you
Are reminders of the time
Spent with you
Summer days have gone away
We’ll never capture those days again
Suddenly quite suddenly
Its September
Suddenly quite suddenly
It’s September
suddenly
September

Hair-do
Curly ,short and long suits you
Blowdried, crimped or dyed
Hair-do
Suits you
Plaited twirled hair sprayed
perfumed squirmed

Eyes turn don’t be surprised
Short shape long cascading
Bleached by the sun
Hair-do
Suits you
Frizzy and dizzy
Auburn black or pink
The hairdresser asks you exactly what you think
Punkified ,prim and proper
Your hair do is an absolute party stopper
Beaded

Extended befriended
Hair do
Suits you
Hair-do
Suits you
well
Hair-do
Suits you
Hair-do
Suits you

Christopher John White Kingston Upon Thames, UK
Chris White lived in Kingston for most of his life. He went to Latchmere school and then to Rivermead Boys School, which was definitely the hardest school in Surrrey. At 15 he had a nervous breakdown and then recovered for a couple of years; and this pattern repeated for most of his life. Along the way he created some interesting music. He finally died of a rare form of cancer, still singing. ... more
